Author your own monsters, items, and more, and use them beside the built-in SRD content everywhere the built-in content works. New in 1.4, homebrew monsters carry an authored Challenge Rating, with XP from the standard encounter math.

Creator packs

Creators can package their homebrew into packs and distribute them to their own audience, on their own terms. The principle is simple: what a creator makes stays theirs — Fold&Roll never hosts, sells, or redistributes partner content; the app only reads the pack file. Packs are encrypted and fingerprinted to the buyer. Patrons import and use packs free; creating packs is part of Fold&Roll+.

Free vs. Fold&Roll+

• Free: 6 characters, 2 campaigns, your first 10 Dice-Drop maps, one floor per location, one free convert and one free variant per character, the complete How to Play D&D guide, session prep notes, and joining any table.
• Fold&Roll+ ($14.99, once): unlimited characters and campaigns, cloud sync for characters and campaigns (CloudKit on Apple devices, Google Drive on Android), the Homebrew Workshop, Campaign History and Campaign Memory, UI themes (plus making your own), extra map floors, unlimited converts and variants, and creating creator packs.

One honest boundary: cloud sync covers characters and campaigns — the Homebrew library itself is not synced. And there are no accounts anywhere in the app: the unlock is a plain App Store purchase, Family Sharing off, tied to your Apple or Google account like any other.
