Fold&Roll Wiki — November 2026 (version 1.4)

The character sheet

Each character has a full sheet and a dossier view: abilities, skills, saves, HP, hit dice, conditions, inventory, and features. HP and spell slots live on each player's own sheet — during a fight the DM sees the whole table's numbers at a glance, so nobody has to play bookkeeping saint for the group.

The spellbook

The built-in spellbook carries 147 spells for the 2014 rules and 168 for the 2024 rules, with the full spell text on the sheet where you cast it. Casting handles slots, upcasting (pick the slot level as you cast), and concentration tracking. Short and long rests restore what they should.

Leveling

Player characters level through a guided flow that walks each choice. NPCs level the fast way — one tap applies the average hit die plus Constitution to max and current HP and recalculates derived stats, because the shopkeeper does not need a subclass decision at the table.

Two editions, sealed lanes

Fold&Roll supports both the 2014 and 2024 rules. A campaign is one edition or the other — never both — and each character carries its own edition tag, which decides how it plays. The one bridge is the Convert tool, which moves a character across editions. Every character gets one free convert and one free duplicate-as-variant; Fold&Roll+ makes both unlimited.

Free limits

The free tier holds 6 characters. Fold&Roll+ removes the cap, and adds cloud sync for characters and campaigns.
