Fold&Roll Wiki — November 2026 (version 1.4)

Battle mode

When a fight starts, the initiative tracker rolls and orders every combatant, and the turn order shows on every screen at the table. Each combatant has a reaction pip that refreshes at the start of their own turn; legendary and lair actions are tracked separately per round. The Ready action is supported — hold an action with a trigger, and the tracker remembers it. Players' devices switch to the battle view automatically when combat begins.

Real Dice mode

Prefer physical dice? Real Dice mode lets you roll your own dice and type the totals — tier 1 covers initiative, and tier 2 (new in 1.4) extends it across the battle.

Battle maps & fog of war

Maps start fully fogged; the DM reveals areas as the party explores. Tokens never drag: tap a token to select it, tap an empty cell to move it there, and long-press a token (DM only) for its info sheet.

Dice-Drop maps

Roll a handful of dice — 6 to 16 — and Fold&Roll builds a dungeon from the fall: entrances, rooms, halls, treasure, and hazards, with two-wide corridors. Your first 10 generated maps are free. Accepted maps are saved with the location and stay fogged until explored.

Floors (new in 1.4)

Locations can have floors: each floor keeps its own board, fog, and tokens, and a tab strip above the map switches floors in one tap. Free locations get one floor; Fold&Roll+ adds more.

Spoken battle map (new in 1.4)

For players who can't see the map, Perceive mode speaks the battlefield: where your character stands, who's near, and what's around — the map, read aloud.
